“KEEP PRESSING ON!”

Philippians 3:13-14 Reads:
13  Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before,
14  I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.

By the grace of God, we now enter into a new day, month and quarter of 2021
.  Last month ended very tough for me because my beloved little dog (Minki) passed lying next to me Monday, March 29th; hence, I solicit your prayers because (as most of you know) this little dog and I were very close.  Nonetheless, I am determined (despite my emotional pain) to “Keep Pressing On!”  I encourage each of you who are struggling to also “Keep Pressing On!”

Moreover, I want to thank so many of you for sending emails and letters to the Richmond Planning Commission.  This was so important because they need to see that St. John parishioners and friends wholeheartedly support our plans to build a Family Life Center.  Again, thank you so much!

In addition, tonight is big!  The Richmond Planning Commission is scheduled to review and make a decision regarding our Family Life Center this evening in their monthly meeting.  We need a lot of people (St. John parishioners and friends) to be present in a Zoom meeting with the Richmond Planning Commission, at 6:30 pm.  If I am called upon to make a presentation to the Richmond Planning Commission, I will need the Richmond Planning Commission to know that our project is greatly supported when they see everyone present.  The following provides information on how the public can participate in this meeting.

Furthermore, we are planning to stream an Easter Worship Celebration, this Sunday, April 4, 2021.  If God permits, I will preach, and our Worship & Praise Team will sing; also, I will officiate the Lord’s Supper (you will need to have bread and wine/juice).  The Easter Worship Celebration will be broadcasted live online at 8:00 am, 9:30 am and 11:00 am.  Everyone will have the option to view it live with others or at their convenience when the video is made available on-demand.

Lastly, we express our heartfelt gratitude to everyone for supporting St. John financially, especially in the last year.  We currently contribute by mailing or dropping off our Tithes and Offerings to our St. John South Campus (662 South 52nd Street—Richmond, CA  94804) or by giving online through our website (sjmbc.org).  If you are a member of St. John who is financially able but not supporting our church financially, allow God to bless you with more by giving today your Tithes and Offerings.

May God bless and sustain each of us.

Your Servant In Christ,

Dr. Kevin B. Hall, Pastor
