The Anointed Disciplers Ministry is comprised of qualified mature Christians assigned to assist with the intake process of new converts or new members during the Invitation to Discipleship worship period. This Ministry will also assist in leading unbelievers to Christ using witnessing tools such as the 7-Steps to the Kingdom.
Our ministry’s mission is to enhance the presentation of Worship Celebrations utilizing today’s audio and video technology. “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving” (Colossians 3:23-24 NIV).
The Bereavement Ministry is comprised of a task group to offer spiritual, emotional and physical support to church members who are grieving the loss of a loved one.
The Children Ministry provides spiritual and biblical development to children ages 3-12 years old. The Children Church Worship Celebration fosters a nurturing environment for children and staff to experience God through worship, praise and fellowship.
The Christian Education Ministry is an assigned task group responsible for planning, implementing and overseeing all aspects of the educational curriculum of the church.
The Culinary Ministry is a fellowship-focused ministry responsible for planning, organizing and overseeing food preparation and service for special meals held onsite in all church facilities as well as offsite church-related meals, i.e., picnics, etc.
The Deacon Ministry, comprised of spiritual mentors, prayer warriors and faithful servants of the Lord, assist in serving The Lord’s Supper to parishioners as well as sick and shut in members.
The Deaconess Ministry is responsible for the preparation of the elements for the Lord’s Supper. The Deaconess accompany the Deacons to serve the sick and shut-in members and also assist the Hospitality Ministry with the baptismal process.
The focus of the Follow Through Ministry is to frequently contact and communicate with three major groups of parishioners: new members, missing members and potential members (visitors).
The focus of the Golden Agers Ministry is to encourage, plan and organize special activities for the senior adults to promote fellowship, edification and spiritual growth among the members.
The Joyful Recovery Ministry is comprised of a small support group environment that provides biblical, spiritual and emotional support to people in recovery within the church and the community.
The focus of the Hospitality Ministry is to ensure that all worshipers are greeted upon arrival, made to feel welcome and appropriately assisted to find his or her desired destination within the church.
The Men of Power Ministry equips men for service in the Body of Christ to know how, when and where to serve and assist.
The Mothers Ministry work in conjunction with the Deaconess Ministry. The members of this Ministry also share their accumulative wisdom with the congregation and community.
The St. John Music Ministry is a vital part of the church’s ministry as a whole. Each choir member should understand their role and function as Ministers through music and song. Thus, they are responding to a call from God to render this service to him in a high level of excellence, which is worthy of His calling.
The Nursery Ministry provides focused and attentive care to children ages 0-3 years old, allowing parents and guardians to attend the worship celebration.
The Prison Ministry is comprised of a small task group to minister to those who are incarcerated in prisons and youth detention centers.
The Security Ministry is responsible for the overall safekeeping of all church facilities and its contents as well as the safety of the parishioners while on the premises of the church facilities.
The Sunday School Ministry’s purpose is to make the fullness of God’s word a reality in every believer’s life. Our Mission is to build a biblical foundation in the lives of individuals that will transform families, friends, and the community for the Kingdom of God.
SWAT is an outreach ministry team engaging in monthly door-to-door street canvassing to share the Gospel with unbelievers in an effort to win their souls for the Cause of Christ. Ministry participants also engage in prayer for those with special prayer requests.
The Transportation Ministry provides members with transportation to and from various engagement outings and activities. Van Service is also available for the elderly and otherwise impaired parishioners of St. John to attend the various Sunday Morning Worship Celebrations.
Ushers are the “doorkeepers” of the Lord’s House. This ministry is responsible for greeting and seating members and visitors. They are called upon to give direction during the offertory period, as well as provide basic necessities requested during the Worship Celebration, i.e., fans, envelopes, tissues.
The Wedding Ministry is an Adult Service Ministry that provides advice and assistance to couples in preparation for their wedding ceremony such as arrangement of the Order of Service, rehearsals and counseling sessions according to Church Polices.
The mission of the Women Missionary Ministry is to foster camaraderie among the various female ministries and Servant Leaders. The General Assembly promote peace, love, understanding, harmony and unity among the Women Ministry Leaders and the women of the church at large.
